HDIC Productions is proud to announce that all of our photographers are fully vaccinated against COVID-19!  Because of this, HDIC Productions will begin resuming normal photography operations, while continuing to be smart and follow public health guidance and the polices set by the event organizers for events that we photograph.
We wish to once again thank you all for your support and to give a shout-out to all those on the front lines of the pandemic that have worked tirelessly over the past 15+ months and continue to do so.
Please continue to get in touch if you have any questions or concerns.
Happy summer, and remember to go get vaccinated as soon as you are able to!

HDIC Productions is currently exploring offering limited graduation photo shoots to some of the local universities.  Right now, we are exploring the option for Carnegie Mellon students.  If you are interested, please request a shoot on the request a shoot page.

375 days have elapsed since our last photo shoots, and I am excited to announce that we will be slowly starting to return to photography operations.
Tomorrow, I will be photographing the CMU Women's Soccer match and will be returning to the sidelines of outdoor sporting events this spring.  All of these events have strict return-to-work plans that include weekly testing requirements.
As the next months unfold, we will continue to share plans for what other types of photo shoots and productions we will be hosting.
Wishing everyone all the best,
~Allen Howard

HDIC Productions would like to wish all of our clients a happy new year!  While this past year has not been what we had hoped for, we are hopeful for the next several months to allow for vaccine distribution and a return to relatively normal life.
We are continuing to monitor Allegheny County data to determine when we will begin offering services again.  As we get closer to April and May (graduation time), we will monitor communications from the universities that we normally photograph at in order to determine what level of photography we can do for the graduating class.
As soon as we have any information to distribute, we will be updating this page.
Until then, please take good care of yourselves.

HDIC would like to thank all of our supporters throughout the past several months.  These really are strange times, and we are happy to say that we are all healthy and being as safe as we can.

To that end, HDIC Productions has decided to extend our suspension of activities through at least December 31, 2020.  The next couple months are traditionally time spent with family and loved ones, and that is what our intentions are-- to spend time with family and friends in a safe (mostly virtual) manner.

To all of you reading this, I wish you and your family a happy and healthy holiday season.

As always, you should feel free to reach out to me directly if you have any questions or concerns.

Wishing you all the best,
~Allen Howard

HDIC continues to support our remote work mindset.  With the cancellation of fall sports for the UAA/CMU, we will not be performing any of those shoots this fall.  Our hope is that winter and spring sports will be played, but we will continue to wait for the guidance from the University and UAA before we make a determination on whether HDIC Productions personnel will be present at any such events.
We continue to monitor the situation daily and will return to in-person shoots when we believe it is safe enough to do so.
Please continue to reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns.
Keeping all of you in our thoughts,
~Allen Howard

HDIC Productions is still in the remote work mindset.  If you are looking for any remote photo editing or video editing, please get in contact with us.  We are continuing to monitor the daily updates from the Allegheny County Health Department and the Pennsylvania Health Department and will resume live photo shoots once we are comfortable doing so (despite being in the green phase of the reopening plan).
As always, our clients are in our thoughts during this incredibly different time.  If you need anything from us, please do not hesitate to reach out. We hope to be able to join you at your events in the near future.
Enjoy the Fourth of July holiday and stay safe, everyone.

HDIC Productions continues to monitor the situation surrounding COVID-19.  At this time, we are still in an indefinite suspension of all in-person production activities.  Once we have a date that this suspension will end, we will update this page.

We'd like to remind you that any of our remote production activities are still available.  This includes remote video editing (multi-track music videos or self-shot videos, as examples), photo editing, and photo licensing.  We will soon have a new form to submit for these types of requests.  We also will  add more images onto our photo licensing website later this week (https://photosale.hdicproductions.com/).  We also have an extensive archive of photos from the past five years that we have available should you have specific needs.  Please continue to reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns.
We look forward to once again being able to capture your precious memories when this pandemic has entered into the rear-view mirror.  Please take good care of yourselves.
Enjoying spring from my front porch,

After further discussion with the already-scheduled clients and our photographers, we have decided to indefinitely suspend all photography operations.  Our other services remain available (video editing/cutting, photo requests, licensing, etc.).  While this suspension is indefinite, we are currently only planning for this suspension to exist through the end of April.  We encourage you to reach out for events that take place after April at your earliest convenience.
These are trying times for all.  Please take care of yourselves and please reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns.

As new information and guidelines have been release, our photography guidelines continue to develop.  At this time, all university-related photography has been cancelled through the end of current semesters at each of the respective universities.  This includes athletics, campus events, and graduation photography.  Large-event photography will also be cancelled or postponed per CDC/ACHD recommendations.  Any other personal photography will commence as scheduled unless otherwise contacted by your photographer.  You may continue to reach out to us with any concerns or if you'd like to cancel your session.
Should conditions change to where graduation photography can resume, an announcement will be made at that time.
We are deeply saddened that we will not be able to capture so many great memories through CMU Carnival, athletics, Pitt events, and graduations.  We look forward to next year to continue with these great traditions.
Sending warm thoughts to all those who need them,
~Allen Howard

HDIC Productions continues to monitor the situation around the coronavirus (COVID-19) that is currently spreading throughout the United States and the entire world.  This situation is rapidly changing as new cases are confirmed and new restrictions are put in place by local governments and organizations.
At this time, we'd like to update you briefly on our plans as a group as to what should be expected by our clients.
Personal Photography
This category includes any person who has requested a shoot or any stand-alone organization.  This also currently includes graduation photography for seniors of the city's universities.  At this time, there are no changes on HDIC Productions' ability to complete the photo shoot.  If you or your organization believe it is in the best interest to protect yourselves to cancel the shoot, please get in touch with us as soon as possible.  HDIC Productions will work with you to either reschedule or cancel the photo shoot.
Campus Event Photography
With a lot of spring events coming up on college campuses around the city, a lot of people have requested different photo shoots at these events.  We will be following the respective university's guidelines to continue with the photo shoot or not.  We will reach out to any of our clients who have photo shoots pending to discuss any further details or changes that need to be made.
Athletic Photography
With new NCAA restrictions, HDIC Productions personnel will  work with university athletics departments to determine needs and restrictions regarding photography at athletic events.  At this time, there are no known changes to our photography schedule.  Please check the respective university's website for any further information.

Please know that HDIC Productions photographers and senior leadership continue to monitor the situation and meet regularly to discuss upcoming photo shoots.  In order to be fully transparent with our clients, we will release any updates as soon as we have them.  You can continue to check this page for updates.
In this time of uncertainty, please remember to take care of yourselves and those you love.  If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to your photographer or to me directly at allen@hdicproductions.com.

Wishing you all the best,
~Allen Howard
